It seems like everyone from musicians to graphic artists use Mac, so I'm guessing there has to be some value in making that decision. However, I tried both and can't really tell a difference in the quality of output the computers produce.
So why do people really use Mac? Is it because in the past Macs were better, but artists got stuck in the habit today even though PC's are equal nowdays? Or am I missing some quality factor? I'm particularly interested in opinions regarding visual display and sound, as I'm a budding musician considering the purchase of a Mac.

im a designer, mac are great for design stuff, but the same goes for windows. windows lets the user have more control over everything unlike mac, which restricts everything, and you got to search for it everywhere.

Mac computers provide prgrams that are helpful to singers. or musicians and designers or whatever. I've heard that they're really good for those purpose, like editing and composing and remastering and stuff, but not very good for other things. BUT i've also heard that that's changing and they're just incredible computers altogether.
