Can you split a telephone line to connect two computers with internet (DSL)?

I have a computer in one room with DSL connection thru Ethernet Jack and I would like to add an additional telephone line with internet (DSL thru Ethernet) in the garage. I have an attic where I can go into and split the line. Is this possible by simply splitting the line in the attic? Would I be able to use the internet on both computers at the same time? Thanks.

Yes but keep in mind that you're sharing the bandwidth. Think of it as a pie. If you you're getting 50%, then there's only 50% left for the other guy.
Just get a router, and you'll be all set
If your DSL is slow now, wait till you split the connection between two computers. It will be half the speed you normaly get.

Instead of crawling at turtle speed, you'll be at a limping turtles caravan speed. S...l...o...o...o...o...w! V e r y Slow!
thats what a wifi router is for.
Yes, you can do so easily using a wired or wireless router.
