Best (And Cheapest) Way to network 3 computers together??

Can I just use a router? If not, what do I do? The furthest distance that the computers will be apart is about 60 feet, if that matters.

Thanks!

buy a 4 port switch. it's only about 15$. but i suggest you buy a wireless router so in case you have a laptop, you will not have to bother with wires anymore... or you can buy one of those USB WIFI dongles (about 20$ each) so you wont have to wire your house... it's a lot slower than wired networks though.

i wired three of my computers(for the whole house, spread far apart) for less than 40$US(including wires and everything else)... i bought a second hand 4port switch on ebay.

ok, i exaggerated. it cost me like 29$ total.

4 port router and some long networking cable, wont get cheaper than that, a bit more will get you wireless.
Use a wireless router, if the computers are fairly new then wireless will be built into them. You can buy short distance wireless routers for not that much amount of money.
Router works fine. I can swap files with my dad's laptop downstairs, and it's convenient using the router because you're already plugged into it anyways. And they usually have at least 4 slots as well.
yes a wired router is the best way to network the three computers (check you local flea market if cost is in effect ) (i HAVE 2 ON MY TABLE at my flea market for $8.00
You'll probably want a wireless router. It would probably cost you over a hundred dollars for the whole setup though, cuz you'd need wireless adapters for the 2 computers that aren't near the router.
