How can you set up a home network between two computers?

I want to set up a home network between two of my computers that use windows vista. I want them to be able to share folders, files, printers, etc. I have a router that hooks up to a switch that splits the signals to the two computers (it is obviously all wired).

Get the IP of the other computer and type it into internet explorer and press enter. Or Click "start", "run" and type \\XXX.XXX.XXX.X (the X's should be placed by the IP address of the other computer). Make sure the folders, files AND printer are "shared". Also remember the computer with the printer physically attached needs to be on to print. You'll see the printer when you type in the IP address. Double click the printer to install it. -Good Luck

Yup, it's easy. Give each computer an IP using a switch. If you happen to have both computers on the internet using this switch which is already connected to a router, then it's already done!
