Streaming video no longer play in my computers?

they will start and run for a minute or less and then freeze. they may continue playng after a delay of several seconds to several minutes an then shortly go trhough the same process all over.

have 2 computers a HP desktop 8 years old and a COMPAQ laptop 3 years old they both have 500mb of memory.

both show the same problem.

I connect to comcast by a cable modem and a LYNKSYS broadband router desktop is connected by cable laptop wireless.
