People saw I'm really good with computers, but alls I do is mess around with mine. So, that's basically all the advice I can give you.
It just relies on experience...... And to learn...... And knowing how computers and programming work.

I've been using computers (PCs specifically) for around 12 years and I've been on the 'net for just under 10 years (before hotmail.com - ahem!)

I am completely self-taught in all aspects. You read the odd manual, break your computer on occasions and then work out how to fix it, become hooked on wikipedia.

One example for you was around 7 years ago, when I installed my processor heatsink the wrong way around and fried my CPU (smoke and everything!) - oops... won't do that again. You live and learn!

It terms of hacking NASA - that's probably not a good idea.

Most of the questions I've answered here - I either know because I'm sad and I just do :) or I search on Google/Wikipedia.
