We would need to know what software you're using. If its a professional level tool, it probably supports network renders. An open source tool might support it. A low level tool would not support it because they want you to buy the pro version that does.
Your first step is to link them by an ethernet cable either directly (crossover UTP cable) or via a switch (straight UTP cable).

To do the other tasks that you describe is more complicated and I don't know if you manage to achieve it. Try to research on grid computing.
