How do i share files betwen two computers connected with adsl router?

I have two computers, one running xp and one running vista.

they are both connected to my router to access the internet.

I would like to transfer files betwen them but I can't seem to figure out how to share folders and have the other PC seen them. i try sharing folders bu the other pc still won't see it.

Dear. first of all, check you network properties, FILE AND PRINTER SHARING..... is this enable, if yes then check then try to connect other system using its name:

in Run.. type:\\othersystemname\ ENTER

then in security screen type: Username:othersystemname\othersystemuser...

password:paswordofothersystemuser.

it will work
